Graphics are
a playful way to look at the world
The "pas de deux " is a demanding dance,
calling for precision and experience.
diptyque knows this well, and has been making lines and opposite elements dance for the past sixty years: black and white, modernity and tradition, outline and motif, freedom and discipline… On the occasion of its sixtieth anniversary, diptyque continues to pursue its own path, drawing on sources from its own history in order to reinvent itself and surprise everyone yet again.
The Holder
The holder invites us to play, turning it around the candle to create a constantly changing look. Overlaying motifs and lines, the juxtaposition makes the ovals dance, flickering like a flame before our eyes – light and movement coming together to hypnotise us. Coming into sharp relief on the Baies candle, moving from the circle to the diamond shape on Figuier, decked out in moiré effects on Roses and chequered on Tubéreuse, the diptyque oval disappears – only to reappear, stronger than ever.
Reflecting the participatory spirit that has characterised the Maison from the very beginning, the new diptyque collection offers a truly interactive experience for us to perceive, to smell and to feel: line, colour, gesture and play joining together in a shared surge of energy. A vibrant, twirling, pirouetting homage to the graphic creativity of diptyque.
